Todays news comes from Nate Holynski.

CZW NEWS

Wifebeater will be back at CZW's May 11 once again in the ECW Arena, with their show "High Stakes". Beater hasn't been in action since his match with Justice Pain at Cage Of Death 3, due to shoulder surgery. The "High Stakes" line up (thanks to the boys at czwnews.com is shaping up with a four-way main event. It's a high stakes match, as everybody has something on the line. In corner one is Justice Pain who is putting his World Heavyweight Title on the line, corner two has 'Sick' Nick Mondo who, if he loses has to leave CZW for good. In corner three is Adam Flash who is putting his Iron-Man Title on the line, and finally in corner four is The Messiah, but what does he have to put on the line for this High Stakes match? Also on the show is the arena debut of M-Dogg 20 and Josh Prohibition as they take on the famous CZW duo of the The Backseat Boys. For the Tag Team titles we have the current champs V.D. vs. The H8 Club.

The four-way should be very interesting involving four of CZW's better workers throughout this year. Expect plenty of insane spots and bumps during the match. I believe it has the potential to be a CZW Match Of The Year candidate if the booking is kept to a sensible level and no silly run ins (ala Lynn vs Pain from March's Arena show, which I found to be disappointing) or referee bumps.

BJW NEWS:
Block B of the World Extreme Cup sees everyone on two points going into their last match.

Homocide: 2

Shadow WX: 2

'Bad Boy' Hido: 2

2 Tuff Tony: 2

Hido meets 2 Tuff Tony on 5/5
Shadow WX meets Homocide on the 5/6

At the moment Ryuji Yamakawa and Tower Of Doom are in the finals from Group A and I'd guess (or hope) that Shadow WX and Hido will make the finals from Group B (IMO). But with Dai Nihon nothing is predicatable.

At the moment BJW also have the young lions league tourny onto which I'll keep you more up to date with in the next few days.

On a side note good to see (with sarcasim) that Tomoaki Honma's five match trial is going so great 0-3. Damn all Japan, what are they doing?

IWA MID SOUTH NEWS
Here's the match listings for their fourth of May 2002 show from Dayton, Ohio where they've only started running shows since January. Should be interesting to see how many people attend. Card looks very good. Punk vs Cabana should be another classic. These two have been ripping it up in the whole mid-west area - I wouldnt be suprised to see a title switch. To be honest I'm looking forward to Cash Flo vs Chris Hero. Should be very stiff and a really top-notch match with the beautiful Nadia Nyce at ringside.
